benjamin is obsessed with toy story 2 and his new toys. these are the first toy requests he's ever had, and thanks to grandma for sending them his way! although he has a crush on jesse the yodeling cowgirl, he seems to have the most fun with buzz's gadgets.

lauren received some tinkerbell necessities. the hairdryer was a huge hit (with benjamin, too!). she did my hair numerous times. she gets right down to business.

on tuesday we went to nearby gulf breeze to see jason at school. ben was settling into his classroom.

wednesday night we invited darci over and all had some fun in the pool...well, maybe not lauren so much. she is more of a beach girl, preferring the sand to water. benjamin and darci had "shampoo" squirting wars!
things are falling into place. jason began school this week and has been busy with not only teaching, but with assisting the band director after school. i was blessed with, what appears to be, a fantastic job! i'll be teaching sixth grade language arts at a great middle school only minutes from where we live. lots of hoops to jump through this week...fingerprinted/drug test...that was an awful experience!/nametag, taking a k-6 state exam...passed!, and meanwhile driving to every possible corner of pensacola imaginable to get it done.
