trick-or-treat

halloween night went off more smoothly than i thought it would. because of ben's quirks, i tried his costume on earlier in the week and had to bribe him with 'acorns' (candy corn) to get him to put it on. last night, however, he slipped into his bat costume without a problem. this was his first year to trick-or-treat and we decided to go down state street...THE street to go in new ulm. it was packed. he did well despite the traffic and was mesmerized by the glowing pumpkins in the yards. lauren, aka little chick', was a little peanut all night. she rode in the front of the stroller for awhile munching on cheerios and then was passed back and forth between mama and papa. a happy halloween for the olsons!
