after many, many days of rainy weather today was a bright spot! i felt the need to be outdoors as much as possible...since it is forecasted to rain the next two days. before lunch we met friends at flandrau beach. we stayed there nearly two hours, heading home only because it was time for lunch. benjamin loves squirting water (and an occasional person/kiddo) with his "shampoo" (aka water squirter). lauren is back and forth between the water and playing in the sand. we had a great time.
i love this picture :) she is trying out her new bikkini and i even played around with her hair, without her objecting. lauren had sand in her mouth several times, but didn't seem to mind.
love this one, too! benjamin and his "shampoo". not sure how that name came around, but that's what he calls it. this one is actually lauren's...his he forgot at home due to a naughty chair experience pre-beach.
so after naps we decided to go to our frog pool. this was our first visit there this summer. lauren is sporting her other suit. note her red toes. she chose the color and sits pretty well while i paint:)

we ended the day with a trip to dq. yum:)
