still inside the house

we've been indoors a lot since the snow arrived, but are entertaining ourselves nonetheless. lauren continues to have two fave activities...reading (mostly magazines) and watching movies. she requests a movie even before she has breakfast. a bit addicted, she is.

reading an ecfe flier with darci. lauren enjoys reading through the mail. oftentimes she'll take the mail and run, leaving us to find it in her bed the next morning.
benjamin goes back and forth between his christmas toys. one day it's legos (jason is almost as enthusiastic about legos as ben!), the next it's gears, and now he has a zhu zhu pet...

i knitted darci this neat-o scarf. she's pretty happy with it and so am i. i am going to make one for myself one of these days, similar but not the same. i tried knitting her a hat...that wasn't as cute. isn't darci cute, though?!

dum-dums are also popular these days. neither kiddo will finish an entire one...lauren usually breaks the stick which forces her to end her sucking-session, while ben just chooses to leave a little bud on the end of his. they insist on choosing their flavor.

this smartcycle was purchased at target last year for $24. lauren isn't quite big enough to sucessfully ride, but likes to do what ben does. and now that ben goes to preschool tues, thurs, AND friday she has a little more time to herself.
