back home

Lauren and I are back from a short visit to Illinois this past weekend. Every time I go home I try to pack as much into my stay as I can since I only make the trip once or twice a year. Lauren was really, really good as far as being a passenger...and we had a lot of car time. From the 7 hr drive to IL to Skokie and back to Champaign and back and our return to MN...she was fantastic.

Saturday I was able to meet up with some of my high school friends during Buffalo Days. It was actually my first Buffalo Days ever. My only regret is that I didn't get to spend more time with everyone, which was hard to do since little kids were involved. It's been 16 years since I've seen some of those faces! Yikes!

Sunday we all jumped in the car and went to the IL Holocaust Museum in Skokie. Darci and I had seen a speaker here in NU who was involved with it, which led us to make the trip.

And Monday Darci, Mom, Lauren and I headed the opposite direction to Champaign. Kids are growing so I always need to get them a few bigger things. Lunch at Zorbas (it hasn't changed) and some shopping. I miss being on campus...

So now we're back in New Ulm and I'm left with these pictures of my trip...
